The few places I've lived down here on Jeju all have had big containers for used clothing. They have been big, rubber barrels with "옷" printed on the cover, usually in the vicinity of the recyclabe containers outside.

Get in touch with any orphanage around (some have older kids).

I'm planning on taking a bunch home with me to donate to DI. I'd donate 'em here, but there are very few Koreans who'd wear my size.

I just went through that as I was recently preparing to move (out of Korea). I asked all the orphanages I knew (one) if they wanted my oldies. They all replied that as I am 6'4 240, the korean orphans had no use for my clothes. Exasperated, and needing to clear it out, I just through all my clothes in a bag and put it out by the trash. 5 minutes later, they were gone. Moral of the story, throw them outside, the ragpickers will take them.

It would be kind of nice if foreigners got in the habit of donating their clothes to the Beautiful Store. Then we would also be able to find foreign sizes and fashions there! (Says the girl who was so excited to actually be in a second-hand shop that she tried on every item of clothing in the store...and nothing fit! Sad )
