Any shop recommendations? Most I've seen are small music shops with small varieties and no discounts.
Any stores like HMV or Tower Records kind of scale? |

At yongsan electronics market if you head over to the 전자랜드 building there are two stores with an excellent selection of DVDs. Many of the English language ones are cheap, but it's very rare to find Korean movies cheap on DVD unless you buy pirate ones. |

If you're looking for good deals on legal DVDs the Kyobo Books DVD section has a lot of good deals on DVDs both Korean and foreign (W5,000-10,000). |

True. But word of warning: be careful if you see music dvds for 7000 won. I bought one thinking I had gotten a deal, but no. It was one of the professionally made pirates that you can find at Youngsan electronics market selling 3 dvds of your choice for 10,000 won. These professionally made pirates have full artwork and picture labels printed on the discs. They sure look real. but I doubt you can get Guns 'N Roses Use Your Illusion Live In Japan for 4000 won legaly.
If you use the Seoul express bus terminal, there's also a guy in the underground shopping connected to the bus terminal and the subway who has a good selection of these 3 for 10,000 won dvds. |

Yeah, I did see a few sections at technomart with some good deals .... but I was skeptical. Some sections were selling secondhand dvds and some were too cheap to be true.
Still, I coudn't find the titles I wanted eg. Old Boy.
I saw a huge box set of King and the Clown selling at 44,000 (no discount) but was unsure. I didn't see that set at the music stores around COEX or Myeongdong... so wasn't sure if it was legit.

Technomart has a couple decent used DVD shoplettes. Visually check the DVDs before you buy. |
