London
Madrid
Bali
Anthrax
KAL 007
So is there anything that doesn't involve a "conspiracy"? Seriously, are there any events that you (the conspiracy addict - you know who you are) accept at face value? |

Sure there are LOTS of events & occurences where there's no co-ordinated planning, plotting or conspiring involved; but these are only the UNIMPORTANT things.
PLATO knew this. Why don't you?
To paraphrase FDR: "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way." |

Of course, I don't mean just plotting and planning. By conspiracy, I mean some kind of underhanded government involvement that has been covered up. Does anything ever happen just because of the "bad guys", or is a everything major (e.g. 9/11, 3/11, Bali, JFK, the Holocaust, etc.) a plot orchestrated by the powers that be in order to further their aims? |

George Bush is the dumbest president ever yet his administration is full of the most ingenious super villians the world has ever known. |

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that someone living in a cave in Afghanistan (while seeking periodic dialysis treatments) wouldn't have been able to plan and pull off something like 9/11......without some inside help.
Just exactly who and where that help came from remains to be seen.
Regarding the present admistration in general:

Stupidity has consequencesIs Lieberman dumb? Are they stupid? Evil? Or how much of each?
I recently posted a short piece with the title: Stupidity has consequences. Its about the Bush Administration (surprise, surprise) and its handling of both Iraq and Lebanon.
One of our frequent correspondents here at the caf, Sir Loin of Beef, has (politely) taken me to task, noting in part:
They are not stupid (except for their posterboy George, that is, but lets ignore him as irrelevant in discussions of this sort), they are just deceitful and vicious. |

What sort of inside help? The key to the backdoor of the WTC?
A discount on box cutters?
Why is it so hard to believe that arabs are capable of carrying out a stunning attack masterfully executed without the help of any American?
That's the psychology driving people who can't accept what happened.
Who was the 'inside help' on the USS Cole?
The African embassy bombings?
The Beirut barracks?
Some Americans can't handle the fact that they were out-thought and out-manoevered by a bunch of "fanatical rag-heads".
Sometimes you underestimate your enemy.
Sometimes the truth hurts.
Looks like the Israelis have fallen into the same ditch- underestimated their enemy, overestimated the effectiveness of airpower. |

What does dialysis have to do with bin laden's ability to carry out 9-11 bereft of inside help? Dialysis patients are not all in a coma. A very close relative of mine was on dialysis, receiving three treatments a week. During the time that he was on dialysis, he owned and operated a small business, completed a course in real estate sales, as well as designed and supervised the construction of four houses.
Sorry, but I've heard this dialysis crap bleated out by the conspiracy theorists numerous times, and it's really starting to piss me off. |

Blah, blah, blah. The question is - are their any "conspiracy" theories you don't buy? Were the London bombings an inside / government backed job? How about Madrid? Bali? KAL 007? Was the moon landing faked? Is the Holocaust over hyped? Who shot JFK? Lincoln? Are they all the work of subversive fascist politicos? Or did the events happen pretty much as they are portrayed by the government? |

Actually, I cracked up pretty good when I saw that picture, especially the "nobody's home" expression on the guy's face. And I am not someone who laughs a lot. |

TIN FOIL HAT "thought for the day":
MOST of us already carry micro-chipped tracking devices; they're called CELL PHONES !!!
Israel (for one) has been using them to "liquidate" undesirables in Palestine ... & beyond |
