10. Let fellow forumers know how hard you are by challenging a poster who lives at least three thousand miles from you to a streetfight. (Be sure to state that you're six foot four and 290 pounds of pure muscle so everyone knows that if you wanted to get a plane ticket, you really would make good on your threat).

9. Always be condescending to fellow posters, it shows how cool and clever you are (Of course all the forum jocks know this, but the geeks need to be reminded).

8. Never start a meaningful thread of your own, that might expose you to becoming a forum geek. Instead start a post asking how many bottles of beer you should drink tonight.

7. Rather than answer a question, inform the poster that they should have used the g*d***ed search feature, but makes sure this type-lashing takes as many syllables as answering the question would have.

6. Impress everyone with your knowledge of spelling and English grammar by criticizing an unpopular poster's failure to notice some typos.

5. Inform a poster that there is such a thing called google.com, and you can look things up on it. (Be sure not to answer their question after telling them about this though).

4. Don't post on a thread until it has gone way off topic, and then insert random jokes that have nothing to do with the OP.

3. If you really dislike a certain poster, make sure that the rest of the forum knows this by constantly responding to their posts, and telling them how stupid or wrong they are.

1. When all else fails and everyone still thinks of you as a forum geek, be sure to say how you have better things to do than spend all your time posting on this stupid website, even though you have 9,000 posts since you joined six months ago.
