I was wondering if anyone knows how hard or easy it is to get a tourist visa for the US. Me and my girlfriend are planning on doing some traveling when my contract ends next month. She is worried that she won't be able to get the visa and that if shes rejected, it will be harder for her to get one in the future. But I'm under the impression that its pretty easy to get a tourist visa. Anyways, anyone have any experience getting a tourist visa for the US. Not sure if it matters, but shes 22, graduated from a 2 year university and has been working at the same place for over a year.
Thanks in advance for any info or advice. |

Young Korean women frequently get rejected. Probably because so many of them go and work in room salons in the States or other western countries. I have two Korean friends (both women) who've been rejected, and when they were rejected, they were both young women.
However, there's good news, if she's rejected -- starting in July, the 무비자 program comes into effect, meaning that she can go to the States freely without obtaining a tourist visa. So if you can just wait until then...
As part of that agreement, Americans may travel to Korea for up to 90 days starting this year, without getting a C-3 visa in advance. So it's good for Americans who don't want to shell out $60 (last time I checked) as well. |
