Hi, i would like to ask a question. I want to meet a relative at Incheon Airport. She's a transit passenger via Korean Airlines, and her final destination is USA. She will have a 4-5 hour stay at Incheon and i was thinking if its possible for her to get off at least in the departure area so that i can meet her there.
I saw this from a website http://english.tour2korea.com/ena/SI/SI_EN_3_6.jsp?cid=309437
any experience?
Thanks for any comments |

It's no problem. Your friend just needs to clear customs which takes very little time. As long as they have their boarding pass to get back through security later on, it's pretty easy. My parents did this several years ago. They were transiting between Bangkok and Vancouver, and they had 6 hours to kill at Incheon. I headed out and met up with them for a few hours before they headed back in through security. |

There's not much to do up on the departures area except for the restaurants overlooking the runways. That's not a bad idea. Otherwise, there are the coffee shops and restaurants down on the arrivals floor. There's also a garden on the second level of the subway station across from the terminal that's worth a walk-through. |
