Ministry Gets Tough on Corrupt Teachers
The government has vowed to get tough on teachers who accept bribes from parents even if it is only a small amount. So far, teachers have rarely been punished for accepting small cash gifts. Teachers who accept meals or gifts worth less than W30,000 (US$30) will be spared under the civil servants code of conduct.
