Hi,

Can those of you who have taught grade 6 advanced in Korean public schools, recommend a good textbook for my students? They all vary in ages but their English level is the same, about equal to junior high school students. I have about 20 or so students and they are all willing to do homework, they enjoy conversing among themselves and from what I gather they like comics too. They also like fill in the blanks so a bit of writing is good. A book with pictures would be good as well but some of the textbooks I have seen have too many pictures and aren't worth it. I was thinking of a book from the Superkids series but if you can suggest a better book I would appreciate your help. Thanks so much.

My grade six students seem to enjoy Let's Go (5), but yours seem more advanced (possibly Let's Go (6) ) This series comes with a teacher's manual with detailed lesson plans for the units, plus a workbook and ready made tests and teacher cards.

Hi all, thanks very much for the suggestions. I will look at all of those series. Smile

Yes, they vary in ages because the best students from grade 4-6 are all put in an official class which is considered a grade six advanced class.

If I find any other noteworthy books I will post them here as well to help others in the future.
