Hey folks!

I'm thinking about getting a bunch of camping gear sent here from Canada. Would I be better off getting it sent here from the distributer? or sending it to a family member and having them send it here?

Is there anyway to know exactly how much tax I would have to pay if customs does charge me?

Thanks, and basic info would be great, I know little on the matter.
