You still have sunrises up there? We've been going from black to various shades of gray for three solid weeks. The sun did--twice--almost come out, but it chickened out; then the rain started again.

It was an amazing sunrise. I wouldn't have seen it if I wasn't already up for the World Cup final. Around the beginning of the second half, the sky lit up. A truly world-class sunrise. You wouldn't do any better anywhere else. From an upper floor, my apartment faces in the right direction. Several small mountains in the sightline obscure the fact that I'm in the middle of a big city. The wind today is coming from the East (or southeast). Whenever the wind comes from Gangwondo to Seoul, rather than China to Seoul, the sky is much clearer and the air much fresher.

I snapped two picures with my phone that don't really do it justice but here's kind of what it looked like:

The best thing about it was how it turned everything pink for a while. The sky, my room, everything.

The neon lights from the love motel next door do that to my place every night. Very Happy
