Known about this site and these forums for a few months and now that uni's about to end I'm gettin more serious about teaching english in asia for a while. I'm still well young (21) but can't hold the adventurer in me any longer. I've read up a bit about South Korea and from what i've read its not that bad a place to live and work (as an esl teacher) so if I make a choice on the country I think South Korea would be the first. I got a few questions I'd like to ask yas just so i know a little more about the country etc.

All the things I read about nightlife in SK mostly consist of nightclubs and fancy shmancy pubs. If that's your thing then all the power to you I got nothin against them but it just isn't my thing. Now I'm sure there's more ways than that to party over there since there's so many people. While it won't really impact me that much since I'm not a diehard nightlifer I do occassionally enjoy the odd pint down the pub while shooting pool and havin a few laughs (very aussie i know). So do those kinds of places exist over there? Prolly a stupid question I guess a better one would be where are they Razz.

Another thing I wanna ask is what pastimes reign supreme over there? I know there's a heap of mountains and that there so is mountain climbing n winter sports a big thing there? If so that's great cos the place I live (Perth, Australia lived there my whole life) is a very summer kinda place; no mountains for like thousands of kilometres very flat terrain and lots of beaches. i wanna experience something totally different. what other cultureal kinda things are big over there?

All of what I just wrote prolly sounds all over the place so sorry for that. I really appreciate all help from you guys I can get. Thanks for givin me the oppurtunity to post here too Smile
