No way. I shower in the morning. Showering at night, going to bed and then going outside after all that time is gross.
I had the best sleep last night. |

You could always shower twice. I do in summer.
Also, I would like to thank you again for the important work you have done on Galbijim.

Attention morning shower people: What about being at school or wherever all day, coming home, and then sleeping in all the germs and bacteria you got all over you all day? I prefer night showers. |

I don't understand this obsession in Korea with increasing sex drives and what it has to do with Summer. Um.. any guys out there LESS horny during the Summer? Or any time at all? I'm really interested in how these cultural myths get started.
I tried to search for some relevant English language web sites, and all I could find was this study:
| Quote: |
| Plasma and testicular testosterone levels were determined during three periods (spring, summer and autumn) of the active season in the common garter snake, Thamnophis sirtalis. Plasma testosterone levels were highest in spring and lowest in summer. Testicular testosterone levels were higher in spring than autumn but not significantly different in spring than summer or in summer than autumn. |
Couldn't find anything about humans. Anyone else?
But as for the article RR linked above, look at some of these statements.

| Koreas so-called tropical nights are bad for quality of sleep, and that leads to further loss of sexual energy |
I never experience tropical nights. Hmmm.. maybe because I use the air conditioner?? Of course, it would be foolhardy to suggest people use an a/c, because they might get 냉방병 (airconditionergitis).

| In the humid season, both men and women are also hot and sticky, and during sex, that can be unpleasant, quite apart from the odors. "Even light physical contact can easily cause sweating and an increase in humidity, leading to an unpleasant feeling," says Prof. Song Seung-hun of Kangnam Cha Hospitals Department of Urology. |
Who is bothered by being sweaty during sex? Not me. I think it's hot. Sure, "odors" aren't a great thing, but I think that has little to do with heat and more to do with proper hygiene.

| Use birth control pills with caution. They may be convenient, but taking them too often can cause an unwanted decrease in sex drive. |
WHAT? Let me read that again. Use birth control pills with caution, because they might lower your sex drive!! Effing Mohammed on a Moped, what kind of advice is this??? Hey, let's put in the newspaper that air conditioners might make you sick, and that it's more important to have lots of sex with less protection!
God bless Korean newspapers. Endlessly amusing. |

| Maybe it's the lack of those sexy parkas and mukluks all over the place. Who could get turned on by a woman who's not bundled in at least three layers? |

Actually it is not a complete false statement.
The older pills had such side effects, but those days are long one.

Decreased sex drive
While your sex drive is affected by many things, the hormones in BCPs can be a factor in decreased sex drive. If you are noticing this side effect, let your provider know. A change to another pill can improve this. |

LOL...
I didn't realise they were rationing the water in Seoul anytime soon. Seriously, and especially in this hot weather, I don't see how people don't take 2 showers a day... I often find myself taking 3 as I go to the gym most days.
Two words if you're in need of temperature regulation in the bedroom. Air Con |

Even if it's true, it's still asinine advice. Let's increase our sex drives by not using birth control?!?!? If you're taking birth control pills in the first place, it's because you don't want kids. Going off them only to find your libido increased is like throwing gasoline on a forest fire.
For the record, ladies, this steamy summer weather has not decreased my libido.
No ma'am, not a bit. |

Chicks walking around in skimpy clothing=more horny in the summer.
There's your math lesson for the day.
And for christ sakes, how can you not have a shower in the morning? Are you in grade 2? The night shower is a given, unless you don't sweat (what waygook doesn't sweat???) |

| Perhaps the 52% of adult Korean males that smoke should not blame the hot weather for decreased libido but maybe all the cancer-sticks that cause impotence and the shrinking of a certain body part. Just a thought. |

Yeah I know about that, but what I'm saying is, it's absurd to recommend in a newspaper that women stop taking birth control during the summer so they can have more sex. That's just stupid. Reaching for straws for something, ANYTHING, to write, because it's so damn impossible to come up with filler information for such an inane article topic. |

My brother generally doesn't sweat, and doesn't need deoderant (same with my mom, and my sister). I'm infinitely jealous of him. I get sweaty just sitting in a room with no air conditioning. Grr. |

Freaky bastard! Maybe he's one of those "Koreans" who lack sweat glands. Do any of them have that mongolian mole on their bodies? |
