Anyone have any success or problems with this? The back of my card says Plus, so it technically should be ok on ATMs that have Plus access, but I want to be sure, as I've heard of problems.

I had no problem using mine in Austin Texas in February. Strangely it worked at any hour also.

Once I used it during the Korean banking hours. Then for S&G's I tried it at 2 in the afternoon at a mall just to see if it would work and it worked fine.

Also used it in Thailand and China. Thailand about 2 years ago and China about 4 years ago.

But it did work in Austin when I was there in February.

I used it in Taipei in May.

But I did hear that they will no longer work for foreigners. I asked the bank teller about this, and she said "maybe" it's true, but when I used it in Taiwan there was no problem. It really makes me worry about how I'll get my severance and bonuses after my last paycheck. Mad

It's nice to hear the KEB cards work outside the country, however remember that KB is taking them over so that may change. I know I've tried my Hana Bank card outside Korea and it's worthless.

Anyone know if KB cards are good outside Korea. Hopefully KB won't change that when they take over KEB.

When I got my KEB ATM card last September, it was a local card only. I tried to change it last week to an international card, but when the lady tried to enter my information in the computer, it rejected the application. She said they no longer issue them to foreigners.
So KB is taking over KEB? That's great news! Maybe I can get a more useful card when that happens. What's the time frame on the merger?

Does it have a VISA Plus logo or is it just a domestic card?

I've got a Shinhan debit card with the Visa Interlink and Plus logos on it. It worked in Canada and the US, pretty much on any ATM.

Silly question I know, but I have accounts at Hana, Nong Hyup and Kookmin...

Apparently Hana doesn't work, but do Nong Hyup or Kookmin work overseas?

I'm not sure what rock you've been hiding under, KB is taking over KEB. Here is the news story:

No, it doesn't. My card is pretty well worn out and since I'm staying longer I might see if I can get it replaced anyway.
