Hey everyone..
Well, I'm travelling to Thailand after 1 year in Seoul, and I have noooo idea what to do with my stuff. I'm thinking of sending it home. I have 3 hours at Incheon airport so I don't even have time to pick it up at someone's house. I don't know how much it is to leave stuff at the airport for a month. I'm getting pretty stressed out about this! please help me!!!!
Thanks!!

If you have lots it might be best to just box it up and send it by ship. Will you be returning to Korea? How long are you staying in Thailand?
I'd say if you won't be needing the stuff (esp heavy clothes) I'd either leave it with a friend if you plan on returning or send it. The maximum weight for economy class is 20K...not a whole lot.
You COULD pay extra baggage and then store your stuff either at BKK airport (about $2 US a day) or at a hotel (often free). I have no idea what it might cost at Incheon but no doubt it would be considerably more..
Hope you sort it out. |

thanks peter I hope so too! I think the best thing is sending it depending on how much it would be at the airport. |

I stored a large duffle bag and a carry-on bag at Incheon a little over a month ago. It was 10k for about 24 hours for the two. |

What flights have 20kg limits? Returning to North America? Every flight I have been on has a 32kg limit and you can have 2 bags at that weight. |

You're right: Any flight to NA allows 32kg, but flights to Bangkok, Saigon and other Asian cities only permit 20K max. And some airlines are VERY strict about it...you can usually get away with a few K over. Business class passengers within Asia are allowed 30K.
I've been shocked at the counter before. Begged and pleaded too. |

There's a post office at the airport so as long as you give yourself plenty of time you can figure out what your best options are right there. Our bags all weighed too much and we either had to buy another bag from the duty-free, move stuff around, and pay for an extra checked bag or, take out some stuff and mail it home. The second option was cheaper. The post office was on the second floor and had cardboard boxes for sale and packing tape for customers to use.

All flights with neither start or finish point in North America.
The "two bag" concept applies only to NA. Elsewhere, the weight concept rules: 20 kg in Economy, 30 kg in Busness and 40 kg in First. |
