| One factor in deciding to go to Korea or not is the lonliness factor. How easy is it to meet people? Do most people live alone or share an apartment? |

most people live alone.
easy to meet people if you go to a school that has a lot of teachers or if you are in a city with a million+ people.
if you are in the boonies, much more difficult, unless you want to travel on weekends to a bigger locale, or want to master korean.
if you are sociable or don't have trouble making friends and meeting people at home, it will be a breeze here.
If your a recluse at home, you'll be a recluse here eventually too.
Korea is a good place to get out of your comfort zone and meet people, me thinks. |

| Before coming to Korea I was living in a city of 3 million and staying in my apartment almost all the time. Now I live in a town of around 15,000 and am out doing stuff all the time. Things can really change when you come over here. After all the attention I get from my students and co-workers, not just at my school but everywhere I go in town, I find being alone rather nice. |

I think it's the biggest battle, but one that is most rewarding to win at the end. It shouldn't be the factor that keeps you from coming here.
Good luck |
