Just an observation:
Watching the World Cup, I've noticed an inordinate number of ne's
being said. It also seems like the announcers are afraid of being
canned if they don't fill every second with rapid-fire talking,
and acting like everything they are saying is exciting or vitaly (sic?)
important. It must be exhausting for them. But, I am left wondering:
What exactly are they agreeing with every 10-20 seconds?
A: Pak Ji Seon is a great player! He plays for Manchester United!
B: Ne!
A: An Jeong Won plays in Germany! He's really good! He's the best actually!
B: Ne! Ne!
A: That guy on Ivory Coast , he played with Pak Ji Seon!
B: Ne!
Guess I should learn Korean. Or turn down the volume. Ne. |
