Hello there,
I'm heading to Korea in a couple of weeks and am planning on traveling in India afterwards. I'd like to get the typhoid vaccination before I go, but it's quite pricey here ($100 USD). I was wondering if it would be cheaper if I waited and got it in Korea? I believe I have the standard NHIC insurance (although it's $54 upfront instead of a monthly paycheck deduction, so maybe it's a tad different...). Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks! |

Also, same question as above, but regarding malaria pills. Anyone been prescribed them before in Korea? And if so, what type and how much did they run?
Thanks again! |

Get your typhoid vaccination at home. Doesn't it take a shot AND a booster again at 6 months or maybe every 6 months? Maybe I am thinking of Cholera... sorry but too lazy to look it up...
Skip the malaria unless you are right up on the Imjin river. |

I can't speak to either of the things you mentioned, but I did get two hep shots here; they ran about 30,000W each - similar to home, because they're not covered by the national insurance policy. |
