Has anybody ever stored their belongings in Korea while they were in between jobs? Are there any storage facilities you can rent? |

I'd like to know, too, as it's getting to be that time.
Specifically, has anyone ever mailed anything to a storage place? I'm moving to another province with 5 weeks in between, and if I can't mail a few boxes to my future school I'd like to send them someplace in Jeollanam-do where I can retrieve them. |

I asked my girlfriend about this and she looked at me like I had three heads. |

If you're in Seoul, this is who we used:
The company's name is Shinhan Express. We got the number off of an old thread on Dave's, but they have a new number now: 2695-2000.
I think the owner's name is Lee Na-ru.
We had a full load (elliptical machine, desk, boxes, etc). It was 150,000 for pick up, 150,000 per month, and 150,000 won for delivery. Not sure how much delivery would be to outside Seoul (or even if they do it), and not sure how much it would be for less stuff. Call and find out.
They do exist, you just have to find a Korean who's had to use one before Everyone else will think you're from Mars. |

How much space is that for? I know a place that does it for 25,000 a month for each 1.5 pyeong of space which is usually all that a person has. I don't know how much delivery is but it's possible to take your stuff in in person in which case it's just the monthly fee, paid for one year up front and you get the rest back when you return. It looks like you have quite a bit of stuff though. |

Moving companies have different rates for moving and storing. If you phone around you can get the best rate. If you tell them you'll need it moved to the next city (to be determined when you look for a job once back from Thailand, for eg.) they'll probably give you a discount. Your current employer, friend at work, KNTO could help you. If it's not mentioned your a foreigner the price will be lower IMO. |
