| The Freemasons, not a band, a house music production team. They do a lot of vocal remixes. Everything they touch turns to dance floor gold. Best and most hyped up house sound Ive ever heard... |

My favorite one by Metallica is Whiskey in the Jar.
They stole it from Thin Lizzy.
Thin Lizzy stole it, too.
It's actually an old Irish folk tune. |

I have heard very little of the music that gets mentioned here on this forum. Of what I have heard, very little interests me.
I am currently listening to Duke Ellington's tribute to Billy Strayhorn called "...And His Mother Called Him Bill," and an 11 cd box set titled "Brownie: The Complete EmArcy Recordings" by Clifford Brown, which is, of course, taking some time to go through. |

Well, good luck with that, my friend. I'm listening to AC/DC right now. I'm about to turn it up and uncap another beer. Cheers. |

I just download random stuff these days. I've got a big, varied collection of MP3s which suggests an eclectic taste. Same goes for CD colelction back home. My favorite band are Type O Negative. They've been my favorite band for years and I've seen them live twice and met them in Brooklyn (where they're from) and in my hometown when they played there last (holy *beep*...3 years ago! ). They exemplify my whole music taste really.....they're heavy, melodic, intelligent, miserable yet funny, have slow and fairly simple songs that are easy to play along to on your guitar at home, emotional. I always listen to Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath/Ozzy as well.
Otis, as you're in a rock mood, check out Pantera's cover of Ted Nugent's 'Cat Scratch Fever' if you've never heard it. It's hard-rockin' grooviness from the Deep South Metal gods. |
