One of my students asked me today, 'If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?'

Didn't know what to say.

quizzes are used to track a students progress and to let them know where they are lacking and must improve in the course requirements.

examinations(tests) are used to evaluate how well the student has learnt and is able to utilize the course content in a practical context.
