Summer Camp Activities - Sports/ Music/ Crafts
What are the best (ie most interesting and fun) summer camp activities for Korean students aged from 10 - 16? I have a few craft ideas so far and would be really interested to hear of activities you've come up with in the past and how well they've been received...

Instead of teaching boring crap try to get some club activities going on.
I'm the in-line teacher for the summer camp. Damn, I'll have to spend my whole summer in rollerblades. The uni might actually pay if I build a halfpipe. lol.

Cooking days usually go over pretty well at my school's camps. In previous summer camps we've had the students learn the recipes for and prepare: Pasta salad, american style hot-dogs (with a bun, relish mustard and ketchup, etc...) and banana splits. The banana splits were by far the biggest success.
Actually if anyone else has any recipe ideas that go over well with Korean students please share them, as camp is right around the corner and I could use some creative ideas.

I'm racking my brain for stuff to make and do. It's a three hour slot so it's got to be a lengthy activity. So far I have come up with kite making. The students are 10-16 so it's that bit more difficult than if they were very little. What are the Korean kids into at the moment... latest crazes?

scavenger hunts work well. put them into teams, make a riddle at each station as to where they should go next, and at each station they take a word written on a paper. when they reach the end of the hunt, they have to put all the words they collected into a sentence like a puzzle. the team with the fastest time wins.

Crafts: Popsicle stick boxes were a blast....painting the sticks, glueing them together and then decorating them.....kids had a blast and it takes several hours over 3 days to do it!

Cooking: Stir fry was immensely popular.....I also did banana boats and s'mores.

Games: Duck duck goose, Red rover, frisbee golf, relay races(egg in spoon was a great one.....bring lots of eggs or hardboil them first if its indoors Laughing )

Think back to any camp you went to as a kid.....kids are kids and any game you know and loved they will too!
