My first year in Korea was spent in Cheongju. I often felt crazier and more alien the longer I spent there. So I started to enjoy creating spectacles of myself, even getting other people involved from time to time.

My favorite was when I wasd at Emart with a few coworkers and I convinced them to all have different kinds of walks. The biggest guy had a sort of "dippy" step with a lot of knee bend, I being the smallest white guy in Korea went with a giant step. One of the women used a shuffle step, and the other woman I think had a twisty step. It was so funny (to me) we barely got through the whole food court before I was bouncing off the walls.

Also around Halloween of last year there were street vendors selling horsehead masks in Itaewon, I still think of that mask and how many good times I missed by not purchasing one and walking around the city with it on.

Also I used to refuse to use the elevator, and I'd leap down levels of stairs to the detriment of my knees and slam into walls on the way down. Fun stuff, always nice to beat the folks that were beside me waiting for the elevator.

So, anyone else feel like they've got to put on a show from time to time, to unleash and let loose? Tell stories!

I frequently stand at the door of the elevator and face the back, making extremely uncomfortable forced eye-contact with the people riding up or down with me.

I try not to draw too much attention to myself. Consequently, Koreans treat me pretty normally.

Go into a changing room, come out walking awkwardly, and then say to a group of people "they're out of toilet paper".

As you exit an elevator, turn around, halt the doors as they start to close and yell "QUICKLY! RUN BEFORE WE'RE ALL CRUSHED LIKE ANTS"!!!
