Has anybody tried getting cash instead of a return air ticket at the end of their public school contract?Specifically,Seongnam city .
Or,failing that,a fully refundable ticket.
Would appreciate if anybody could tell me what happened. |

I've completed 4 contracts here (hogwan to uni) and all of them gave me the cash.
My current public school specifies in the contract that they will pay me the cash. Easier. |

ok.My contract specified a ticket though I'm supposing they'd be amenable to giving cash.Certainly easier for all concerned. |

Buy yourself a refundable ticket and present them with a copy of the receipt. Should solve your problem. As long as it is a direct ticket then you have followed the letter of the contract. What you do with it after you are paid is up to you. |

Then if they don't accept it,I'm lumbered with a ticket........
Once again ,has anybody had the same contract stipulations and how have they managed to deal with it. |

If it is fully refundable, then what does it matter. Otherwise, just ask your co-teacher....
For the record, I have done this before (bought my own ticket) and NO problems. They get the copy of the receipt and I was paid back promptly. |
