Has anybody tried getting cash instead of a return air ticket at the end of their public school contract?Specifically,Seongnam city .

Or,failing that,a fully refundable ticket.

Would appreciate if anybody could tell me what happened.

I've completed 4 contracts here (hogwan to uni) and all of them gave me the cash.

My current public school specifies in the contract that they will pay me the cash. Easier.

ok.My contract specified a ticket though I'm supposing they'd be amenable to giving cash.Certainly easier for all concerned.

Buy yourself a refundable ticket and present them with a copy of the receipt. Should solve your problem. As long as it is a direct ticket then you have followed the letter of the contract. What you do with it after you are paid is up to you.

Then if they don't accept it,I'm lumbered with a ticket........

Once again ,has anybody had the same contract stipulations and how have they managed to deal with it.

If it is fully refundable, then what does it matter. Otherwise, just ask your co-teacher....

For the record, I have done this before (bought my own ticket) and NO problems. They get the copy of the receipt and I was paid back promptly.

To back up what Ttompatz said. I too have done the same thing....bought a fully refundable ticket and cashed it in once they had their photocopy of the ticket and had reimbursed me.
