| They're camped out on top of the ceiling light fixture. Guess they're coming from upstairs. They're making horrible scratching sounds. Do roaches fly? Don't laugh because I seriously don't know. As long as they don't fly then I'm cool. |

I've never seen them fly in Korea, but I have seen them fly and jump in Thailand. Hence, why I am in Korea and not Thailand.

Yep, gotta love those Thai flying roaches! The first time I saw one I was seriously disturbed, but after a while I grew to actually like them, as long as they respected my personal space. The first one that I saw looked like a huge beetle scurrying along the sidewalk, then all of a sudden it just took off! My girlfriend at the time made a noise that I am yet to hear matched... |

rrrrrrrrr...roaches *shivers* gross
Even if they don't fly, I'd get that problem taken care of. Those things breed fairly quickly. If you don't at least get someone to spray they'll get out of control. Getting rid of them is nearly impossible. Personally I think if you dropped an atomic bomb on a building, the roaches would be the only thing that survive. |

Itaewon roaches are huge, about the size of your thumb. And pretty darn nippy. And yes, they can jump and land.Absolutely petrifying.
"Kill them, kill them all!!"I must rent Starship Troopers soon. |

| In college I pull a "Bevis and Butthead" and lit a roach on fire (no I'm not talking about THOSE kind of roaches). I wasn't even drinking at that time. |

| Yes, there are roaches in Korea that can fly. I learned this the hard way by leaving my window open before I had screens installed. I thought my new roommate had just landed. *shudder* |

ewwwwww!!!! god i hate those things!!! i have had a problem with them in the past but then i went to the store and bought that orange smelling pest spray and it got rid of them....i dont have any smelly garbage or anything but the neighbors do and i think the roaches came through to me looking for some leftovers....
the ones i used to have dont fly but are the big black type that jump a little and are they quick or what!!!!!
i always spray in the nooks and crannies and by the pipes/windows/vents to pre emptively get rid of anymore |

A good idea for foreigners is to not live over a restaurant. I've seen only 1 roach in any apt. I've had. Found him sleeping under the kitchen cabinet. Who knows, there coulda been more but didn't have any other problems.
Yes, keep your food waste in a tight bin. Keep your sink and dish drainer dry. |

| Got some spray. Since they're coming from the ceiling I'm guessing something is happening upstairs. I feel the need to vomit just thinking about them. |

They are just bugs....
Now..if the spray fails to work..call an exterminator or talk to the landlord (or your school). |
