I got a lot of leniency today. Maybe it was carelessness, or maybe it was intentional. Who knows?

Anyways, I came into Korea and nowhere along the way did anyone ask to see a ticket out of the country, nor did they ask if I had any money in the bank or anything. I have no visa.

Then I wrote down 'tourist' as my reason to come in. I have 2 cancelled visas on my passport. Wow. A clear truth.

Then one more thing. I had a ton of stuff in my bag, like smokes and liquor. If I was over, it was barely. I am pretty sure I was legal. So anyways, I filled out a silly form and gave it to a guy. He didn't even look at what I had.

I wish I could be swiss just for a day.

Does that count?

u got lucky ...

korean immigration isn't the problem usually ... it's the airlines.

i had to show united airlines my visa in chicago before they would let me board for korea on a one way.

Yeah, one way tickets are a major red flag for all the airlines. I'm a US citizen, and I went through rigorous security for a one-way flight from Chicago to St. Louis, and again from Detroit to Chicago last time I was home.

I thought the airline would be the one to check. They didn't.

Then when entering and going through immigration, I had my ticket ready in my bag. Never asked for.
