Hello.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience working with the Korean Air Force or Military at all? I am applying for a job with the air force and would be extremely interested in hearing about anyone's previous experiences. (Particularly if you are female.)
Thanks a lot for your help. |

| The job is working at an air force language academy full-time, teaching English (conversational I believe) to officers etc., living on-base. It sounds like it could be total immersion in a/f life. |

| Well the one thing I love is the complete respect. They do everything in their power to make me comfortable, and prepare anything I may need for each class. The students never act up lest one of their superiors in class reprimand them. They help each other and really try to study and use English. I think you'll have a great time, and AF life isn't too bad. If you get access to their commissary food is a LOT cheaper. |

| Without knowing anything about the pay scale or living conditions, I KNOW you would be lucky to get to work with the military in Korea. You will find a group of people who will work their butts off, treat you with the utmost respect, and go out of their way to help you adjust and if you want, learn their language and culture. Are you going to be working in the Katusa program, or the officer training program? |

Thanks for your posts. It sounds like it could be a great job from what you guys are saying.
If I get the job, I will be working with officers and NCOs (that's as much as I know at this stage). It will be my first time teaching in SK, so having students that are hard-working and respectful would be great! |
