| Today my external Western Digital Caviar SE 320GB hard drive which I bought in Yongsan about 2 months ago started making this weird clicking noise and won't connect to my computer. Anybody have any clue as to what's wrong or where I might be able to find an english speaking service center to have someone look at it? Thanks. |

Take it back where you bought it. They will repalce it for you pronto.
Can you enter the BIOS? What does it say in there? Are you sure the noise is the HDD and not the power supply? |

How do I enter the BIOS?
I checked to see if the noise was coming from the hard drive and it is. |

Its a mechanical failure... or at least the HD is on its way to one...
Occasionally External HDs go a little haywire and its nothing to worry about... you've got to reset it by unplugging it totally, then plugging the power back in, and then plug the USB back in... |

Why would you exchange the drive when it's a USB driver issue, totally unrelated to the drive. |
