There was once a Korean flower shop owner. Business was slow. The shop next to his was a pet store. Business was booming.
So the flourist tears everything down and sets up as a pet store right next to the other.
Sound familiar?
English villages are enjoying their 15 minutes of fame at the moment, and it seems a few hagwan owners are trying to ride the coat tails of them.
This week I saw my first English Village that had once been a normal hagwan only a few months earlier. Bizarro!
The best part about it were the uniforms..well they made me laugh... and the looks on the faces of the staff as I snooped around
One girl was like that guy on the Simpsons with eternal hiccups.....
"Hic! Kill me! Hic. Kill me! hic. Kill me!"
I have been to Paju..I was reluctantly impressed there. But this was just strange.
Most foreigners are nothing but performing seals for the Koreans here anyway, but this place really took the cake.
Has anyone worked at one of these places?
Are they any good to work at?
And do you think they will drastically change the face of ESL/EFL learning throughout the universe? |

Been watching a bit too much of the Simpsons? What am I saying? There is no such thing as TOO MUCH Simpsons - only not enough. |
