Does anyone know if it is a problem to connect a MAC to any internet service providers here. When I was in England certain companies did not have MAC compatible software.

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've never had a problem either. I did have to configure the adresses and whatnot in the Network control panel because the tech guy that came to my house had no idea what to do with a mac.

Yeah, mine was similar. With a high-speed line, there should be no need for software installation. I never installed anything in the states and didn't install anything here. There was a problem getting it to stay on, however. The tech just stared at it blankley and say he couldn't do it. Thankfully he left the modem and cable and I hooked it up myself, went through the network preferences and it kicked on fine. It seems to be the Korean way that if they don't know how to do it, it just can't be done.

After that, there was just the problem of getting it to stay connected. For some reason the IP address would change periodically and not let me connect. After several visits from repair people, it eventually worked out, and now it's fine. Once you get past the frustratingly ignorant tech people, it's easy.
