Korea is out of the World Cup. The Daehanminguk chanting will stop for another 4 years.

But can the smug gloating and excuse for more Korea bashing please stop? I can understand how some must be taking great pleasure in seeing Korea go out, but there is such a thing called winning gracefully, if winning is the right word. It would seem to me the only ones that have a right to really crow about yesterday's result would be the Swiss fans, but I somehow doubt there are any Swiss fans posting here.

The "ha ha they're out of the World Cup now it's time to really rub salt in it" mentality around here over the past 24 hours is getting as obnoxious as the Daehanminguk barrage. It's over. All the Korean fans shut up and went home ... the gloating Dave's brigade should take the cue.

I didn't realize it was that bad. A few posters I guess. But, any worse than when the Americans got eliminated?

Hahah. The best part is that we don't really care all that much. Not trying to be smug, just stating the obvious.

I agree with indy. Its funny that most of the people here making fun of Korea are from a country that would get its arse kicked by Korea 7 times sout of 10.

Could be me, half the time, especially when I used to post the CE Forum ...

Shocked

Ah Jinju, how easy you make it to continue these threads. It's hard to get numbers on this right now because for some reason after the Swiss stunned Korea the FIFA site is down. As I'm not a soccer expert (or even fan) by any means I'd need to go there to get more information.

However, I find it just 'a little' amusing you can seriously predict Korea would "kick the arse of" England, a world class team, 7/10. Or that they'd even "kick the arse of" Australia 7/10 now as everybody knows they just beat Japan (Asian Champions, also a good team) 3-1. I believe even Canada, hardly what you'd call a soccer-minded country, beat Hiddink's World Cup 2002 Korean team twice in 2002. Canada for God's sake! (no offense to the hockey-dominating Canadians). And the US (which just tied Italy is still ranked above Korea. Ghana (ranked forty-eight) just "kicked the arse of" Korea. Please remove foot from mouth before posting.
