Going into the next round, Germany is looking strong. Granted, it was a relatively weak grouping. Still, they're playing well. I just hope England pulls out at least a tie so that they don't meet in the round of 16. |

I really hope not. I've got 300,000 coming in if Brazil win the WC. Brazil will come good, folks. Don't be fooled by form. I really want that 300k. |

I bet not. I'll take any and all counter wagers. Odds will be given as well. |

People are vastly overrating the Germans. A big win against Ecuador and suddenly the cliches start popping out....."you can never rule out the Germans, Brian". They've got high motivation and home advantage but other than Sweinsteiger and Ballack none of their players ought to give the best defences sleepless nights. |

I agree with spinoza - the germans have barely been tested. Ecuador rested most of their first team, and they beat Poland with a last minute goal. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Sweden vs Argentina quarter final. You saw it here first. Germans - overrated, Swedes underrated. |

No. Germany and England are on opposite sides of the bracket.

Your hatred of the English has clearly blinded you of all evidence that runs counter to this absurd statement. England v Germany matches are rarely a 'walk in the park' for either team, and are usually resolved via penalties. The most recent competitive match between the two was 5-1 to England. Germany have yet to play a single decent team, and will struggle against the Swedes, who will be a far tougher proposition than the teams they have played so far. |

You mean the same Sweden who couldn't score against Trinidad and Tobago? And only scored one goal against Paraguay? Two teams which barely qualified for the World Cup? That Sweden? |
