I was wondering where to start on webcasting my own internet radio show, if any of yous have some advice...
I'd like to do a 3-hour music show every week and make it easy for my friends here and at home listen in...help!

Yes, not very difficult. But you'll need your own server.

Do you have any techie mates that can set one up for you ?

What's the station going to be called btw ?

Shoutcast if you are looking for a broad reach....You can use your PC as a server if you are on some flavor of DSL.

If you are talking about b'casting to just a few friends and family, then MSN messenger or yahoo can also work in sort of an AD HOC way. They will need to have ID's and be logged in to watch/listen to your b'cast.

thanks i will look into it this weekend. sounds like shoutcast is up my alley, and i do have a buddy who can help set me up with a server or just use my computer as one itself...
dont know the name yet, but will post here and promote it when i get it up and running. maybe called "whittier labs" we'll see.
