For those of you teaching the after-school programme at public schools:
1. Are you required to attend summer English camps outside of your regular teaching schedule?
2. Do you receive any form of extra compensation for attending these camps? - an extra day or two of vacation? an envelope of money?
3. Do you think it's an honorable and respectful gesture on the part of the school to provide you some form of extra compensation?
I know little about summer English camps but I gather it's for 2-3 days
with lodging and meals provided. There is 'talk' at my school about an English camp this summer - for the first two days the schedule is 10am to 10pm , the third day is for return travel from POCHON to INCHEON. As far as I know , the teachers do not get any form of extra compensation for attending.
Your thoughts , please. |

1. Yes
2. No
3. No, it's part of the GEPIK contract.
Your summer camp is only for 2-3 days? Never heard of a camp THAT short. I'd consider myself lucky if I were you. |
