man. I do believe both teams played well the second half (especially Korea except for number 17 that passed the ball to the open Swiss at the end of the game). I didn't watch the first half nor do I know that much about soccer. Maybe you guys can fill in the blanks for me? Smile

Korea was losing the whole game. No chances, sloppy play. I don't think they had a single scoring opportunity the whole game. They really got outplayed in every sense. The Swiss did whatever they wanted, whenver they wanted.

Are you sure you watched the game?

Korea had plenty of chances... The Swiss were far from dominant...

This completely discredits anything the poster says regarding this or any other soccer game. He's demonstrated that he:

1.Doesn't understand soccer

or

2.Lacks the capability to make an objective assessment of the game

It is sad to show glee at another teams loss because you have problems living here....real sad.

My only "problem" is that I would like to watch something else on TV. That's one less game that I have to watch over and over for the next four years. Thank you football gods.

I think that there are plenty of other TV stations to watch. If you don't like hearing about Korean events then why the f$$$ would you stay here for four more years.

Sad is one thing, but a whole other thing is that KOREA LOST!!!

Keep your apologetics to yourself. Some of us have been repeatedly assaulted, spit on, threatened and treated like dogs. If you have been lucky, good for you. I haven't. This loss is like Christmas for me.

And before you say "go home", I'm on my way. 48 hours to go!!

We don't all have the same experience in land of the "morning/afternoon/evening racist.

Did you watch the game? After the Swiss scored, they removed their forwards and played with basically 10 defenders. Did you notice the substitutions. Korea got no opportunities. No through balls, no decent passing. No nothing. They were totally incoherent anywhere near the box. Anytime a Korean player got the ball there were 2 or 3 red jerseys nearby. JS Park was effectively shut down. Brilliant coaching on the Swiss side. They left everybody back and ran out the clock. When they did score again, they still had half their team waiting for any counterattck.

Sure Korea had shots, but the Zuberbuehler never had a tough save. He's so big he covers so much space, I'm sure that factored into the Koreans trying for impossible curling shots. IMHO there were zero scoring opportunities for Korea. The Swiss on the other hand had 1 good goal, an iffy goal, and a hit goal post. If you saw a legit scoring opp tell me. I taped the game.

and you are trying to tell me that you cannot find racist back home. I imagine that you are white which is why you know nothing about the racist in your home country.

Quiet Homer. Don't vent your frustrations on us. I certainly take no glee in Korea losing. Unlike Koreans who were estatic that Japan was knocked out.
Pride cometh before the fall. Shadenfreuden.

Good post Elric. Korea didn't have a sniff. They have found their level this World Cup. They have work to do for 2010.
