One of my students has seen an eipisode of Family Guy and found it funny. She had asked me where she can get other episodes.

I have all the episodes on my mac.

Am I opening up a can of worms if I burn her a DVD?

why not? a lot of kids her age watch it back home, and really the content isn't as offensive as say, Robot Chicken or South Park. Just be selective of what episodes you give her.

I wouldn't do it. What if the parents find out and dont' like that type of show. You could be in for some serious flack.

If it were my daughter and you were her teacher, I'd be bitch slapping you upside of next week.

Yeah Superhero is probably right. You need to seek parental approval first, simply because the show does contain controversial material.

family guy is banned in korea. show that to her, her parents find out, or she tells others and they all want a copy... some parent will find out... maybe do a bit of research... find that its banned in korea... and some might rat you out to the korean gov't... say goodbye to korea

she doesnt need a dvd. let her figure it out on her own. koreans have their own peer to peer programs that put ours to shame. or she can go on YouTube.com and just do a family guy search. i think entire episodes are even uploaded there. but i wouldnt want parents tracking it back to me as the source of it. she might pick up a few on-liners from it and use them at the dinner table.

Well, if it's "banned" here it's time for more protests at the US embassy because they show it on AFN on Sunday nights.
