2-0 Deutschland. I only wish the stations could have seen past their own small-mindedness and lack of appreciation for world-class football and shown the damn game on tv.

Or was it on and I just missed the time?

26-5 shots in favour of Germany, although Sweden played a man down for most of the game. It sounds like Argentina or Mexico will not have an easy time with the hosts.

Of course it was on. I just watched it. It was on the usual three channels ... KBS, MBC and SBS.

wip-dee-doo Rolling Eyes

Beating a lame team like Sweden's this world cup is no big accomplishment. Except if you're German, claiming bragging rights against a nearby neighbour.

This is Germany's weakest team in decades. It's lucky it doesn't have to meet Spain or Netherlands or Brazil before the finals.

Argentina vs. Mexico will decide this side of the bracket, where only Italy could be troublesome.

The other side of the bracket is deadly.

So was it Germany or Poland that kicked Sweden's ass? Both Klose and Podolski are Poles.

I watched the match frothing at the mouth, screaming at that little twerp Lahm every time he got to the byline and squandered yet another decent crossing opportunity and instead elected for one of those infuriating, ineffective cut - inside and square pass routines that got the German attack going backwards instead of forwards.

For Chrissakes Klinsmann, what's going on? Is crossing the ball a dirty phrase or something? Have you banned players from doing it? Is the action somehow asthetically embarassing or something?

Klose is among the top ariel threats in world soccer, one of the most ruthless cross converters in town and yet your players feed him punt Wimbeldon fodder.

Somebody call the DBF direct immediately.

If Germany doesn't start crossing the ball quickly and accurately soon then they may as well not bother boarding the bus for the Argentina match.

Grrr, where are Pierre Litbarski or Thomas Hassler when you need them? Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

That sending off was a total joke. Are we to just EXPECT biased refereeing favoring home nations now? Horrible shower. All refs are tw**s.
