| I am looking for a medium sized hardtail mountain bike of good quality with front suspension and good components. By this, I mean that I do not want a Wal-Mart bike. I am talking like a mid-high grade Cannondale, Specialized, Trek, or any other reputable builder of mountain bikes. |

Buy a motorbike, dirtbike or a scooter, it will be a hell of a lot cheaper. Or if you really need to peddle then import one, it will be a hell of a lot cheaper. This is the worst country in the world to buy mountain bikes.
The End. |

This might be off topic, but how does one go about getting a motorbike licence in Korea if they never had one back home? I've always wanted to learn to ride |

Ya, Korea really sucks for bikes. A US$1500 bike will cost
US$5000 in Korea. There are many places that sell bikes
online, but certain makers don't want to sell unless you actually
come to the store - marketing agreements.
I'm thinking of buying a bike from: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/
I will have it shipped to a friend in the US and then he will ship it
to me in Korea. It is a round about route, but necessary if you
don't want to get ripped off by Kim & Co.

I guess the author of this quote is not a bike enthusiast |

| Yes, I have considered buying one from Performance Bikes and having it shipped here. They quoted $300 for shipping. I found a seller on Ebay that will ship here for around $200. Thanks for the input. I was just hoping that someone already had a bike that they were not taking home or did not ride. |

Hey:
I'm thinking of selling my hardtail. Here are the specs:
RD: Shimano XTR
FD: Shimano Deore
Frame: Maxxis Elfama
Fork: Rock Shox
Shifters: Shimano Servo-Wave
Seat Post: Titec
Rims: Shimano Deore HB-M750
Tires: New - WTB Slickasaurus
This bike was put together from various parts. It is in great condition.
The rims and tires are street slicks to reduce friction, so this is a fast
bike. I'm selling it because I want a new full suspension bike. I live
in Incheon if you want to see it. I will sell it if the price is fair.
