Some of you may have went to my urban myths of korea thread.
Well, in traipsing around the internet, I found this little dooze of a prediction from the main man himself:
http://urbanlegends.about.com/
The quote itself?
| Quote: |
At the end of the sixth month of 2006,
The King of Spain will cross the Pyrenees with his army.
The legions of Beelzebub await the battle on the central European plains.
Destruction and defeat will fall on the evil-doers.
The Holy Grail will be returned to Spain. |
Forget what pele and the pundits say.
1000$ on spain now!!!
The most important thing to remember htough is that, whichever team matches up with them in the finals, is Satan's army.
So...which team constitutes the "legions of Beelzebub?
ps...please don't ruin the fun |

Well, I voted for Spain anyway in the prediction thread. Me and one other person. Viva Espana!!! Ole! Ole! Ole!
Legions of Beelzebub, isn't that Korea?
That reminds me. Korea stole their team name from the Netherlands. Didn't they used to be called the Red Devils. I read a story on that somewhere. I'll have to track it down... |

The Dutch Soccer team has NEVER (themselves) been red. Orange is the national colour (taken from the start of the Dutch royal family "William of Orange").
I would lean towards Orange Devils.
I would think germany would be the ones waiting....devils? Hitler?
It's a full circle. |

| I had thought it was taken from an English (or at least UK) team but then I read something here about it being originally a Beligian team name. There's also a Congolese team called the Diables Rouges. (I guess that would be les Diables Rouges really) |
