Where's the museum that's supposed to be having this big Impressionist exhibit? I saw a poster for it about a month ago, and I can't remember where it is. |

Um,can't remember...but I don't think there would be much point. His later works have a kind of "difficulty of seeing".Not as distinct as Ad Reinhardt-now there's nothing, now there's something ,but the painting never changed..which,to me,makes his works actually really finite...but worth returning to.
Has anybody seen the Rothkos in Washington before? They do have an awful lot.Wondering if any notable ones have made the trip |

Thats what i dont get. Its stupid as hell. What is the purpose of this anyway? Ok, I understand the flash thing. At MoMA in NYC they allow photography as long as there is no flash and people follow the rules. So whats the reason for not allowing cameras? Are they afraid someone will take a photo of a painting then print it out and sell it on the black market as an "original"? No, there is no justification for it at all. Its stupid and if Im not allowed to shoot I refuse to go to a museum. Thats why I will not go to the Picasso thing. 1. I cant shoot photos 2. Its overpriced. |
