I can't believe I'm the first one to start a thread congratulating France on their victory over Spain!!

Beautiful. Watch out Brazil, Zidene is back! Watch out world, here come the French.

Vive la France baby, Vive la France

Great performance by France, and a wonderful goal by Zidane. Spain choked again. Have to say that I wasn't impressed with Henry's playacting.

Why can't the Spanish win in the big tournaments?

It was absolutely ridiculous. He's been hanging out with Robben, maybe.

Still, Sepp Blatter has more or less encouraged diving and playacting this World Cup with his decision to promote the use of more yellow cards and reduce the physicality of the sport. Some of the mincing and faking has been absolutely embarrassing.

That sucks big time. Let down by Spain again. I also lost a bet and have to buy one of my classes an ice cream cake. They figured France was better because they managed a tie versus mighty Korea whereas Korea soundly defeated Spain in 2002. Sad

IMO, France blows.

Henry seems partial to histrionics.

I like Zidane, but he has passed his prime and should probably sit down.

I'd like to think Brasil will play better against France than they did in that farce against Ghana, but even if they play equally as badly, I don't think France have much of a chance.

Spain has a nasty habit of choking. Bloody shame.

Namaste.

Yep, and a great goal by Ribery too and at a critical time.

I lost count of how many times Henry was offside tho'. Could that be why Zidane never passes to him?

Given France's "bravery" in World War II, is it any wonder that its mascot is a chicken?
