| I live in Gwangju. Honam university has two campuses. The main campus is on the outskirts of the city and the second campus is in a new area of town. I used to know a guy who attended Honam university. He took me out to the univeristy and showed me around. The campus was nice, but as I said earlier it is a good 15 minute drive outside the city. I hope this helps. |

| There is now a subway stop at the front gate of the closer-to-town campus. |

Worked there for 2 years, you'd be working at the campus in the country, a long way from anything but when i left they were moving the housing to samgmu-ji-gu which is where the emart, outback etc was, a very long way from campus. they used to house you in a dorm on campus which was lockd at midnight
students were awful, brain dead freshmen who didn't give a rats behind about anything. You'd also be teaching the same course both semester as they are only required to take 1 semester of english with a native speaker.
the old director Park was a nice woman who had bad management skills, just too nice of a lady to put her fppt down on people. not sure who is in charge now
you may have to teach hogwon classes but for extra money and you will have to teahch classes at the in town campus one semester
on the upside we had wednesdays off and you get the full 4 months if you want it, there are classes and they try and do a teacher training.
if you can deal with the students and gwangju its not a bad job nor is it the best, on a scale of 1-10 i'd give it a 6.5-7 |

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. I'm glad it's the campus further out. Gwangju is so mucher bigger then JinJu and I really am a small town girl. |

| I suggest you find another university. Cho is no longer in charge of the foriegners. Another professor has taken over. She is very vigilant and controlling. I know two people who have just had a very bad experience with this university. They are malicious to say the least. Yes, the students are not the brightest but that would be the least of your worries. |
