Saw it last night in Bundang. Anybody else going to see it? It's not in English but it's a story that a lot of people already know and it's pretty easy to follow along even if you don't know what they're talking about.

I can't stand musicals. Bet you paid an arm and leg to get tix, too- another reason why I don't attend cultural events. Mr. Green

Tickets were 70,000 each but I got them for free. *^^* I don't like musicals either but this one I really liked. First musical I've enjoyed.

I thought it was supposed to be the original production in English...! I was really looking forward to seeing it.

Anybody know if it's coming to Daegu?

I love, love, love Miss Saigon.

I went to see it, alone (cos the ex-bf had a meeting), in London when I was at uni. I paid 35 pounds, then, too, which was about 70,000 now, give or take.

Miss Saigon is a story based on Puccini's Madame Butterfly. The storyline is the same.

I am a classically trained singer, so I love music of all kinds....

Did they cast any white people? I remember the big stink in Toronto when they cast whites as the Asian leads...

I used to work with a guy at Second Cup that got a role dancing/singing in Miss Saigon. I used to see him from time to time at a sushi place I would frequent. I guess the cast of Miss Saigon would eat there a lot too. I caught up with my former coworker once there while waiting for a table. Even though I was a reg at this sushi place, they never even acted like they recognized me. But after I was seen talking with a cast member, I suddenly started getting better service.
