Hi,
I need some advice about my current situation and my E-2 visa.
I started work at my hagwon on August 17th 2012, my first job here. I want to spend another year in Korea but at a different school/hagwon. When I finish my contract in August, I want to go back to the UK for a few weeks and start a new job in September or October 2013.
The date on my ARC shows that it expires on 2013/09/17.
Can I get a D10 visa whilst in Korea at the end of my contract, leave the country in August then come back to a new job (assuming I've been offered a new job) in September or October without having to submit all the documents again?
Or would I need to find a new job, get the D10 visa upon arrival in Korea, then get it transferred to an E-2 visa?
I've approached a few recruiters and I seem to get conflicting information. There is nothing wrong with my current hagwon, as I am treated very well. But, I fancy a change of scenery.
I'm unsure on how to proceed and don't want to submit docs again.
Any opinions would be great!
Thanks,
Brez |

Finish job.
Apply for a D10 (good for up to 6 months in Korea and no need to submit new documents unless you are out of Korea for more than 90 days.)
Hang around Korea till you get your new ARC.
Go home for your visit.
Return and go to work.
