I think I saw a "push bike" for sale. I had just come
off the 5:15 steam train to Paddington and on my way
to the telegraph office when I noticed just such a
mechanical conveyance sitting next to the town cryer's
podium. I enquired of the gentlemen present if the said
contraption was indeed for sale. He heartily replied that
it was certainly on the market. I think he wanted a
farthing for it. I will send you his address if you want to
send notice of your intentions. |
