|
|
So, i got a game off of torrents. it came in an ISO file; which I burned to a disc. The game installed well enough, but now it wont play. Keeps asking for the play disc. The play disc I burned (disc 1:installation, disc2: play) doesnt open the game.
Am I missing something? |

You probably need to go to a site like the one above and download a 'nocd-fixed exe' patch corresponding to the game you have.
Follow the instructions that come with the patch. |

Try mounting the disk image with Toast. |

You need to be sure that the no-cd patch is the correct one for the version of the game you have. For example, is your game English version 1.0 or 1.1? On Gamecopyworld you will usually see several different patches for one game. Try to match one with your game.
Are you taking the .exe game icon out of your game files in program files? Then replacing it with the no-cd patch .exe game icon?
I found it confusing at first but after a little success it became very easy.
I still have problems with the newer games which require the 'hide CD-ROM' program.
It's the price of playing for free!! |

What about telling us which game it is? Some games are far more complex than others to install and use. |
