Is there a way to send a message to a phone like SMS?

I'm trying to reach my friend, but her phone is cutting off after a couple of seconds.

Yes, you press the little button with the envolope symbol on it, then go down to 'send message' or 'multimedia control' and then 'send message. Then you type a text message and press send. This sends a message like SMS.

If you can't figure it out ask a student to help you. That's what I had do to.

Sorry people, I think I might have confused you.

I don't have a mobile phone, I was trying to send a message to my friend's phone via the internet instead of calling her because her phone kept cutting off after a few seconds.

I figured that a message sent through a local SMS-like website would be more successful.

BB, I don't understand your question. I've been here more than a month and I have my own computer.

Oh, I thought you were asking if Korea has SMS messaging at all.

I've seen my coworker use SMS through her computer but I don't really know how she did it. I imagine you'd need some kind of account to paid for the messages.

Borrow someone's handphone. Text messaging is very cheap here.
