I can't find a reference right now, but I heard at an immigration conference in the US that 400,000 Korean nurses were expected in the US. Korean nurses?!? At least recruit nurses from a country that has some concept of bedside manner!
Also read a NYT article about how nurses were being recruited from the Phillipines as well. The nurses study English especially so they can have an opportunity to go to the US. |

The New-speak term is called "in" - sourcing.

Don't have my notes with me, but remember it was in the hundred-thousands. Would have said 200,000 as a second guess, but in any case, would the ambulance please take me to the emergency room with the African or Filipina nurses, please? |

Cleveland public schools are insourcing (is that really what they're calling it?) Indian teachers, i.e. teachers from India. I hope they get hazard pay for the gun-shot wounds. |
