A few questions to which any of your input would be appreciated!!
It's the end of my contract, I've thus far reserved a flight that goes :
1) Seoul/Hong Kong/Bangkok/Hong Kong (transfer)/Seoul and it's 600,000KRW plus tax, does that sound reasonable?? Oh, Cathay Pacific.
2) I'm planning on storing my luggage at Incheon Airport while I travel, then pick it up and depart to Canada the same day. However they'll be different airlines etc, so do I have to enter Korea?? i.e. get a re-entry visa just to leave the transit area, pick up my luggage, turn around and check in to go home??
I'm REALLY hoping not to have to pay for a re-entry visa...any experiences there?
sorry, just thought to add......if I take a tour to Macau do I need a visa seperately since I'd be leaving Hong Kong? (that might be self explanatory to some.....but who knows!!)
Thanks, |

I'd say yes - but you may want to check with Thai Air, just to see if they have a deal on flights to Bangkok with a free stopover in HK.. that way, when you return to Korean, you won't need to stop in HK again.

If you contract ends, then your E-2 visa has expired, and you won't need to worried about a re-entry permit. You enter in on a tourist visa. and they are good for 30~90 days. |

Wow! Thanks so much for the info!! Looks like everything will go well then.!
My E-2 visa is actually still valied b/c I'm leaving a bit early, however it's in my old passport, and not that I'm looking to pull one over on Korean immigration officers, but maybe it'll never come up since I'm using a new passport and dont' want to stay over the alotted time anyway!
Thanks again! |

Just turn in your ARC when you leave and you will get a new B2 visa waiver stamp when you return.
Depending on your nationality your waiver stamp will be good for either:
30 days (US),
6 months (CANADA) or
90 days (the rest of the countries who can hold English E2s). |
