I'm being offered a job at an ECY school. 9:30 to 6 (a bit long) for 2.1. I haven't seen the contract (or the school or the apartment or the director) yet, but I was just wondering if anyone's had any experience with any schools in this branch. I don't have much time to job hunt and I'd like to know if the lead is worth pursuing.
and yes, I know it's possible to get a job with fewer hours or higher pay or both, but after sifting through tons of job ads for weeks I haven't seen too many that were any better than this. I don't know where the good ones are hiding... |

Standard big chain hakwon. You have been here long enough to know the drill.... talk to the teachers (PLURAL) ....
You also know what is important to you... so ask the hard questions... (pay, overtime, vacations, mediocal, pension, housing, relationship with supervisor/boss) or better yet... go have a peek at the place... it's a kindy so ... use your own judgement.
I have had friends work at 3 different ECYs and their experiences went from 1-great, 1-good, 1 quit early. They were all experienced here in Korea. |
