I have a Apple laptop and I'm wondering if I need a new power cord/converter to run it? Does Korea use the same amp/voltage and plug as North America.

as a fellow GTAer I'll answer this. Just go to the apple store nearest you or go online and you can get the world wide adapter for 50 bucks, which includes the 220 volt adapter for korea. |

It's only a plug adapter, not a voltage changer, and you can also get one for about 50 cents in Korea. But I did pay less than $50 for the World Travel Adapter Kit. It's beautiful and modular and Mac, and I don't need to run around trying to find the adapters I need when I get on the ground somewhere new. |
